TAB Basics

TAB Basics provides potential or new employees of outlets with essential knowledge and skills related to Tabcorp products and services, including common terminology, bet types, and using the operator terminal.

It is an online training program that combines pre-reading, e-learning, terminal simulations, and formal assessments.

In addition to gaining knowledge and skills related to Tabcorp products and services, participants who successfully complete TAB Basics will receive a nationality recognised a Statement of Attainment for the unit of competency BSBITU305 – Conduct online transactions.

Pre-reading

Pre-reading provides background knowledge you need to read before you start each Topic in the program.

e-learning

e-learning involves a range of activities including how to enter/cancel bets through a simulated Eureka RWT.

Assessment

After each section of e-learning, you are required to complete an online assessment. Assessment is undertaken according to AQF requirements.

Statement of Attainment

Following successful completion of TAB Basics, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for the unit of competency BSBITU305 – Conduct online transactions from Tabcorp Training.

How to undertake TAB Basics

TAB Basics is online and takes approximately 4-6 hours, undertaken over 1-2 weeks.
